Why AI

One agent stays with one caseThe record comes first

A federal record can run to thousands of pages and keep changing after sentencing. We assign one dedicated agent to the case. It works from that record and current sources while research staff check the material used in the report.

What AI does not do

It does not decide a case

AI does not decide the case, give legal advice, file anything, or guarantee release. The customer decides what to do with the research.

Why a machine reads first

It follows the record and checks current sources

The agent organizes the record, connects facts across documents, and checks current primary sources. Research staff perform an overall sanity check, with particular attention to citations, FSA calculations, record completeness, and how the findings are ordered.

01

The case record sets the scope

The dedicated agent works from this defendant's docket and documents. It does not substitute a generic answer for case-specific research.

02

Sources must be current and verifiable

The work may use CourtListener, RECAP, PACER, Supreme Court sources, the Federal Register, DOJ and Pardon Attorney materials, Sentencing Commission sources, BOP policies, Google Scholar, and other current primary sources. Unverifiable citations or documents are not used.

03

Research staff check the output

Staff check the report for obvious gaps or unsupported claims. A report may find no immediate strong path. In that case, it can focus on documented FSA or SCA requirements and timing.

04

Questions stay tied to the case

After an Assessment, the defendant may use ActiveAgent through CorrLinks for case-specific Q&A. BOP messaging is monitored, and every answer remains research rather than legal advice.

How it works is the short version. The Snapshot is the first paid step if you already have a case number.
