Privacy policy
This policy covers the case and customer information we use to take an order, prepare the research, and deliver it. We are a service of Open Efforts Corporation.
We use self-hosted Matomo analytics to understand aggregate site use and the checkout funnel. Analytics receives page addresses without checkout return parameters, and we do not send form entries, payment details, or defendant information to Matomo.
Checkout collects the BOP register number, defendant name, circuit and district, and the customer's name, email, and phone. A case number helps if you have it. Assessment work may later include documents mailed for the named case.
We use the information to find and size the docket, prepare the purchased research, mail the report, monitor the case, and answer ActiveAgent questions when that service is active.
Case material is kept in secured storage and access is limited to the authorized defendant or account and the people working on that case.
Sealed material, PSRs, medical records, and other sensitive documents accepted by mail are scanned into the client's encrypted folder. Physical copies are securely destroyed after scanning.
We do not sell case files or use a real report as public sample material without appropriate redaction and approval.
