Example data: 360-month sentence, LOW risk, no detainers, and a BOP conditional placement anchor of May 7, 2030. The BOP worksheet and placement decision control every actual date.

  • November 7, 2034: Good Conduct Time onlyThe current BOP projected release date used as the example baseline.
  • November 7, 2033: First Step Act pathOne year before the GCT-only date, reflecting the 365-day early supervised-release ceiling if statutory and BOP conditions are met.
  • November 7, 2029: statutory home-confinement dateSix months before the example’s May 7, 2030 conditional placement date. It remains subject to BOP review.
  • About 585 projected continuing FSA days39 completed 30-day periods at 15 days per period through November 7, 2029. The BOP determines application and avoids double-counting.

FSA, SCA, and record review

What the Assessment checks

The report separates what the record says from what needs BOP confirmation: FSA eligibility, credit rate, risk history, participation, placement factors, and the release address.

01

Time-credit worksheet

Conditional placement date, transition date, credit-rate history, disallowed periods, and current credit inventory.

02

Risk and programming

LOW-risk history, BOP needs assessments, program participation, certificates, and waitlist records.

03

Placement review

The individualized RRC and home-confinement review, recommended days, next review date, and any unresolved factor.

04

Release plan

Residence approval, interstate paperwork, IFRP record, community support, and an employer-controlled work plan.

Case law and monitoring

Research questions that stay current

The example includes a fraud-loss research section and a separate watch list. A case on the list is a research item, not a prediction that it will apply.

  • Fraud-loss authorityUnited States v. Rao, United States v. Ainabe, United States v. Hebron, and United States v. Banks frame research on actual loss, intended loss, offsets, restitution, and the applicable Guidelines Manual.
  • Cases and changes to watchMaxwell v. Thomas, current Fifth Circuit fraud-loss decisions, Supreme Court fraud developments, and the Sentencing Commission’s 2026 §2B1.1 amendments effective November 1, 2026.
  • One month of CaseWatch and ActiveAgentCaseWatch monitors the identified court, guideline, BOP-policy, and statutory sources. ActiveAgent is available for questions about the report, requested records, and monitored items.
Shortest path to freedom

Document the conditions BOP will review

Maintain clear conduct, complete at least two programs each month, complete one vocational course each quarter or remain documented on the waiting list, confirm the worksheet and credit rate, request placement review after worksheet confirmation, and complete the residence and work plan. In this example, the best documented outcome is home-confinement placement by November 7, 2029, subject to the BOP’s calculation and individualized decision.
